Carl R. (Sonny) Oswald

     Carl R. (Sonny) Oswald, 81, of Meadville, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Meadville Medical Center.

     Born August 6, 1944, in Linesville, he was the son of Martin Newman and Helen (Lord) Oswald.

     Carl worked for many years at Bonny Bell Farms in Harmonsburg. In retirement, he really enjoyed visiting the farm and talking with Dennis and Luke.

     Survivors include two nieces, Carolyn Kreider of Conneautville and Linda Crider of Linesville; three nephews, Greg Chapin, Scott Godsave and George Godsave.

     He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Patricia (Arthur) Chapin and Betty (Robert) Godsave; and his companion, Martha Oakes.

     Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

     Burial will be in Linesville Cemetery.

     The family would like to thank Hospice of Crawford County and Meadville Medical Center TCU staff for the care they provided to Carl.

     In lieu flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Crawford County, 766 Liberty St., Meadville, Pa 16335.

     Arrangements are under the care of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
