Brenda Smith Richmon August 8, 1947 ~ May 10, 2012
Brenda Smith Richmond, of 8523 Dicksonburg Road, Linesville, graduated to heaven on Thursday morning, May 10, 2012 at UPMC Hamot Hospital, in Erie after a lengthy and vigorous battle with cancer. Her life and hee courage speaks as in II Timothy, “... The time of my departure is at hand, I have finished my cousse, I have kept the faith.” She is now with her Lord, Jesus, and beloved husband, Paul E. Richmond, who preceded her into heaven on April 29, 2009,
Brenda was born on August 8, 1947 in Meadville to the late Chester and Gwendolyn Smith. She married Paul on December 24, 1965. When Paul served in Vietnam Brenda held employment at Toteline in Linesville, and at Talon in Meadville. However, her devoted role in life was that of mother to her three children and subsequently her grandchildren whom she adored also.
Brenda loved sewing, cooking, gardening, and was locally known for her professional baking and custom decorated cakes.
Survivors are: oldest son Todd Richmond and his wife, Susan, and granddaughter Hannah of Conneaut Lake; son Ben Richmond of Linesville; daughter, Janice and husband, Jaison Jamison, of Petrolia and grandchildren, Sonja Richmond and Jaycob Jamison; a brother Roland Smith and his wile, Jane, of Geneva, Ohio; six sisters: Patricia Post; Ta Post; Jean Johnson and husband, Glade; Marilyn Carr and husband, Gene, all of Conneautville, PA; Donna McKinney of Edinboro, PA; Linda Gilligan of Meadville, PA; also a caring sister-in-law, Arlene Smith of Cleveland, OH. Brenda was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Smith.
She was a member of Living Waters Church. The family will observe Brenda Richmond’s passing privately; however, acrangements have been made by Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, Linesville, PA.
