Betty Rowland

Betty Rowland August 29, 1922 - February 1, 2011 Vivian Elizabeth (Findley) Rowland died on February 1, 2011 at Wesbury in Meadville, PA. A long time resident of Linesville, Betty Rowland had been living at the Wesbusy retirement complex in Meadville since 2005. She was born in Moss Point, Mississippi on August 29, 1922, the daughter of the late James Lloyd and Beulah Mabel (Stanton) Findley. She grew up in the Mobile, Alabama area and graduated fom Atmore, AL High School. She was attending nursing school as a nurse cadet towards the end of WW IT when she met her first husband, Ronald E. Bush, while he was stationed at the nearby Pensacola, FL naval air station. ‘They married and settled in Linesville where Ronald returned to the family dairy business and there saised a family. After Ronald’s death Betty married Roy Rowland. They enjoyed many good years together in Linesville with winters in Florida until Roy's death in 1999. Betty was also predeceased by a daughter, Gayle Ann Bush, by a grandson, ‘Tyler Bush and by several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her sons, Ronald L. Bush of West Hartford, CT and Brian K. Bush of Sun City, AZ. She also leaves a granddaughter, Allison D. Bush of Madrid, Spain. Betty's family extends a special thank you to the staff of Hillside Home for their wonderfully kind and professional assistance dusing her 2 and ‘ year residence and to the staff of the Wesbury skilled nursing facility. ‘The family will hold a psivate memorial service and internment at a later date. Donations to Betty's memory may be made to the Wesbury Hillside Benevolent Care Fund, 535 Williamson Road, Meadville, PA 16335. Arrangements are under the direction of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U. S. Highway 6, Linesville.
