Amelia C. Gibson, 86, of Linesville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at the David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland, Ohio.
Born September 10, 1939, in Cleveland, she was the daughter of Ernest and Constance Hannaford. She married John F. Gibson on April 4, 1959, at St. Agatha Church in Meadville. He preceded her in death on October 31, 2019.
She was a graduate of Conneaut Lake High School. Amelia dedicated many years to her career as a bus driver for Warren Brothers in Linesville. She was a member of St. Philip Church in Linesville and belonged to the church quilting group.
Throughout her life, Amelia was a remarkable homemaker, nurturing her family with love and care. She took great joy in raising a successful family. Her passion for sewing and crafts resulted in many treasured creations that will be lovingly remembered by her family.
Survivors include her two sons, Greg Gibson and his wife, Svetlana, of Mentor, Ohio and Tim Gibson and his wife, Suzette, of Ligonier, Pennsylvania; a daughter-in-law, Maureen Gibson of Madison, Wisconsin; and six grandchildren, Nick and his wife, Sara, Arianne, Olivia, Hayden, Matthew and William and his wife, Serena.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; oldest son, Jeffrey Gibson; grandson, Alex; and brother, Jerry Hannaford.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Philip Roman Catholic Church, Linesville in the spring with burial to follow.
Memorial contributions may be made in Amelia’s name to St. Philip Church, 401 S. Mercer St., Linesville, Pa 16424.
