Alan H. Jackson

September 28, 1949 — April 14, 2025

Linesville

Alan H. Jackson, 75, of Jefferson, Ohio and Linesville was called home to the Lord on Monday, April 14, 2025 after a life long battle with Cerebral Palsy. He is now residing in the Lord's house free from pain and suffering. No doubt, Alan is singing, running and talking up a storm with his arms wrapped around his family.

Alan was born on September 28, 1949 in Meadville, PA to his parents, Arden and Waive Jackson.

Alan was born with Cerebral Palsy which became more severe as he got older. When he was younger, he would spend his days with his mom, Waive and occasionally go to work with his dad who owned Jackson's Electric in Linesville. Alan traveled with his parents and visited Naples, Florida several times along with visiting his brother's family outside Philadelphia, PA.  He loved music! All kinds of genres, it didn't matter. Alan also loved TV and movies. He would laugh at Everybody Loves Raymond, Sponge Bob, Toy Story and Home Alone. Alan would always say, “I'm gonna give you to the count of 10 to get your ugly, yellow, no-good keister off my property before I pump your guts full of lead.” from Home Alone. This movie was especially funny to Alan and he would recite many sayings. Alan also loved watching Wheel of Fortune with his dad every single evening while sitting in matching reclining chairs.

As Alan got older, his ability to walk declined eventually leading him to use a wheelchair with assistance from others. He had many caregivers. Thank God for each and every one who helped Alan and gave him a meaningful life with laughter, sunsets and songs. At times he could be a trouble maker, turning off lights in the nursing home because his dad always told him to conserve energy.

Alan is survived by his Sister In Law, Lucille Jackson; nephew, Timothy Jackson and his wife, Dawn, and daughter, Emily; a niece, Melissa Lloyd and her husband, Joseph, and children, Cody and Piper; and niece, Stephanie Waterman and her husband, Brandon, and children, Ashley, Jaedon, Jordyn and Seth.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arden and Waive Jackson, his brother, David Jackson and his great nephew, Tyson Waterman.

A private ceremony for family will be held at Royal Coleman Funeral Home on Thursday, April 24th at 2 pm. Interment following at Linesville Cemetery with Pastor Chris McLaughlin of the Linesville First Baptist Church officiating.
