James Gleason Obituary

     James A. “Chub” Gleason, 79, of Linesville passed away on Monday, October 7, 2019, at the Meadville Medical Center. 

     Born December 17, 1939, in Conneaut Township, Linesville, he was the son of the late James W. Gleason and the late Ruth (Bollard) Horton and her husband, Jerome.

     He was a 1957 graduate of Linesville High School. 

     For 35 years, Jim worked at Rockwell International in Ashtabula, Ohio and later in York, South Carolina and retired in 1996.   

     He was a member of the Pine Masonic Lodge 462, Sons of the American Legion Post 462, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7842 and the Pymatuning Sportsman’s Club all in Linesville. 

     Jim was very social and was always willing to lend a helping hand.  He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

     Survivors include a sister, Nancy Badger and her husband, Dan, of Centerville; two nieces, Terry Badger and her companion, Gary, of Townville and Amy Tatalovic and her husband, Mark, of Guys Mills; a great-nephew, Sam Tatalovic and his companion, Lyndie, of Guys Mills; and great-great nephews, Bryton and Brogan.

     Calling hours will be on Friday from 10 a.m. until noon at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.

     A funeral will follow at noon on Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Terry Smith of the Linesville First Baptist Church officiating.

     Burial will be private in Linesville Cemetery.

     The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Linesville Community Public Library, P.O. Box 97, Linesville, Pa 16424 or a local Fire and Ambulance Department within the Linesville, Conneautville or Springboro areas.
