Jack Penfield Obituary

      Jack W. Penfield, 78, of Linesville passed away after a brief illness on Friday, January 17, 2020, at UPMC Hamot in Erie. 

      Born November 16, 1941, in Meadville, he was the son of the late Chauncey and Neva (Dodge) Penfield.   

      He was a graduate of Linesville High School.  Jack retired in August of 2001 from Millwright Pile Drivers Local 1090 and also did various other jobs before retiring. 

      He was a member of the Pymatuning Sportsmen’s Club, Linesville American Legion Post 462, Conneaut Lake Park Fire Hall Station 5, and Fallowfield Fire and Rescue Pumphouse 45.   

      Survivors include his loving wife of 36 years, who he married on March 30, 1984, Barbara Penfield; five children, Kim Lippincott (Duane) of St. Augustine, Florida, Jason Penfield (Christine) of Ormond Beach, Florida, Harvey Fleshman (Robin) of Santa Rosa, California, Richard Fleshman of Mobile, Alabama, Barbara Littlejohn (Mickey) of Mobile, Alabama; three grandchildren, Duane Lippincott Jr. (Stephanie) of Jacksonville, Florida, Tyler Lippincott (Savannah) of Lowell, Arkansas, and Amanda Hickman (John) of Conneaut, Ohio; a sister, Ruth Wetherington of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and lifelong friends. 

      He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Stuart W. Penfield; six brothers, Allen, Earl, Harry, Ted, Victor, and Stuart Penfield; and four sisters, Josephine Repko, Leola Blood, Helen Phelps and Betty Gottwalles. 

      Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.  

      A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Terry Smith officiating. 

      Burial will be private in Linesville Cemetery. 

      In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Pymatuning Sportsmen’s Club to go towards Youth Hunters Safety Education, 3642 W. Erie St., Ext., Linesville, Pa 16424. 

      A special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at UPMC Hamot in Erie and to all his close friends and family for all the love and support shown.
