     Helen I. Hindman, 96, of Harmonsburg, passed away Friday, October 27, 2017 at Rolling Fields Nursing Home, Conneautville, Pa.

     She was born April 22, 1921 in Sprankle Mills, Pa. a daughter of the late Charles C. and Chlorice. B. Maulk Hawthorne.  She married John L. Hindman on May 2, 1942; after 65 years of marriage, he preceded her in death December 19, 2007.

     She was a homemaker, mother, and active partner with her husband on their farm near Harmonsburg, Pa.  They were dairy, grain and beef cattle farmers for 60 years in Crawford County and prior to that in Clarion County.  More recently they owned and operated, with their son Dennis, Bonny Bell Farms.

     Helen had three insatiable passions, her family, her church and her beloved farm.

     She was an active member of the Reash Community Church in Cochranton, Pa.

     Helen is survived by three sons, Dennis and his wife, Donlee, of Harmonsburg, John R. and his wife, Carol, of Clearwater, Florida and Roger and his wife, Merrilee, of Carbondale, Colorado.  A son Robert preceded her in death September 6, 1988.  Surviving are seven grandchildren, Jodi Smith and her husband, Rob, of Linesville, Luke Hindman and Courtney Aldrich of Harmonsburg, J. Brian Hindman and his wife, Dara, of Dunedin, Florida, Heather Edling and her husband, Brian, of Oldsmar, Florida, Holly Markham and her husband, Trevor, of Ozona, Florida, Michael Hindman and Melissa LaJevic of Mountain View, California, and Benjamin Hindman and Emily Schneider of San Francisco, California.  A grandson Matthew preceded her in death November 24, 1988. She has 7 great grandchildren, Michele, John, Bella, Chase Jacob, Mason, Max and Mallory. Her brother Glenn Hawthorne preceded her in death.

     Calling hours will be Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville, Pa.  Additional calling hours will be held Monday from 10 a.m. to noon at the funeral home.

     The funeral service will be noon Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Randy Keeling of the Reash Community Church in Cochranton officiating. 

      Burial will be private at Evergreen Cemetery in Harmonsburg.

     The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Reash Community Church Building Fund, 3607 Reash Church Rd. Cochranton, Pa. 16314
