Greta Hawkins Obituary

     Greta Lee Hawkins, 85, of Linesville, went home to be with the Lord, on Sunday, September 1, 2019, at Rolling Fields. 

     Born March 4, 1934, in Youngstown, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Edna (Harris) and Floyd Lee.  She married Richard Miner in 1953 and was married for 30 years.  In 1992, she married Leonard Hawkins and he preceded her in death on August 22, 2004.

     Greta was a 1952 graduate of Linesville High School.  She had worked for Rockwell Brake in Ashtabula for 13 years.  She was a member of Linesville First Baptist Church and also the Linesville Historical Society both for many years. 

     The years married to Leonard they traveled to Australia, Mediterranean cruise, Alaska, Ireland, Greece, Turkey, Mexican Rivera, Spain, Blue Danube, around the world trip to Asia, Hong Kong, Bombay, Singapore, New Delhi and Copenhagen, train trip of Copper Canyon, Scandinavian, and St. Petersburg cruise, Panama Canal, Grand Cayman Island, Costa Rica, Cozumel, Caribbean cruise, St. Thomas, St. Lucia, Aruba, Holland, Belgium, and many trips to Texas where they spent eight winters.    

     Survivors include a son, Wayne Miner and his wife, Chris, of Linesville; a daughter, Brenda Loucks and her husband, Hugh, of Linesville; five grandchildren; Ashley Williams and her husband, Marques, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Zachary Loucks of Duncannon, Pennsylvania, and Jasmine, Sonya and Tessa Miner all of Linesville; step-children, Carol Peters and her husband, Robert, of Texas and Edmund Hawkins and his wife, Ramona of North Kingsville, Ohio; five step-grandchildren, Chad Hawkins of Dravosburg, Jason Hawkins and his wife, Emily, of Ovilla, Texas, Brian Peters of Texas, Sharon Peters and Charles Breault of Texas, and Nicholas Shafer and his wife, Tami, of Jefferson, Ohio; and step-great-grandchildren, Sullivan and Chandler Hawkins and Megan, Colton, and Cooper Peters-Stich.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Delbert Lee in 2008. 

     Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 at the Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.  Additional calling will be Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m.

     A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with her daughter, Brenda Loucks officiating. 

     Burial will be in Linesville Cemetery. 

     In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Linesville First Baptist Church, Missions Board or the Building Fund, P.O. Box 387, or the Linesville Historical Society, P.O. Box 785, both of Linesville, Pa 16424.
