        Elaine R. Shelatz, 58, of Conneaut Lake, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.      

        Born January 8, 1959, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Elaine Reiner Helch.  She married Roger A. Shelatz on December 31, 1983, in Linesville. 

        Elaine was a loving and devoted homemaker.  In her spare time, she enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, and cherished spending time with her grandchildren and family.

        She was a member of Our Lady Queen of the Americas Church in Conneaut Lake.

        Elaine is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Roger Shelatz of Conneaut Lake; two daughters, Roberta Quail of Conneaut Lake and Dawnielle Brewster and her husband, Daniel, of Quinton, Virginia; two sons, Michael Quail of Conneaut Lake and John Shelatz and his wife, Jaime, of Linesville; two brothers, Richard Helch and his wife, June, of East Brady and Gary Helch his wife, Suzanne, of Pittsburgh; one sister, Sally Helbling and her husband, Leonard, of Pulaski; a special sister-in-law, Linda Helch of Conneaut Lake; eight grandchildren, Rider Quail, Roper Quail, Jasmine Brewster, Danica Brewster, Jade Quail, Coleton Quail, Brody Shelatz and Jase Shelatz.  Elaine is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

       She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Elaine Helch; two brothers, Robert Helch and David Helch; and her granddaughter, Myla Elizabeth Shelatz. 

       Services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.

       Arrangements are under the direction of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U. S. Highway 6, Linesville.
