Betty A. (Brutcher) Pachuk

      Betty A. Pachuk, 91, of Linesville, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017, at her residence.

      Born May 13, 1925, in Linesville, she was the daughter of Frederick and Mildred Evans Brutcher.  She married Nick A. Pachuk on October 19, 1950.  He preceded her in death on January 11, 1981. 

      Betty was a 1942 graduate of Linesville High School.   

      After her and Nick were married they owned and operated a farm for several years.  She was a loving and devoted homemaker.  In her younger years, Betty worked as one of the first switchboard operators in Linesville and in 1950 went to work for Belle Telephone Company in Meadville.

      She was a life member of the Linesville Presbyterian Church.  She was also the last member of the Ladies Dorcas Society at the Linesville Presbyterian Church. 

      Betty was a founding member of the Linesville Garden Club.  She enjoyed tending to her beautiful flower gardens.  Betty was a “Secret Angel” by helping and serving so many people in the community and will be greatly missed. 

      Survivors include a son, David E. Pachuk of Williamsfield, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

      She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and Shirley Hanna, who she grew up with and treated her like a sister.    

      Calling hours will be Tuesday from noon until 2 p.m. at the Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U. S. Highway 6, Linesville.

      A funeral service will follow the calling hours at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Rachel Johns of the Linesville Presbyterian Church officiating. 

      Burial will be in Linesville Cemetery.
