Myrna Young

     Myrna Young, 83, of Linesville, died on Friday, March 15th, 2024, due to a long battle with cancer.  Myrna was born November 12, 1940, in Conneaut Township and was the oldest daughter of the late M. Alex and Arlene (Maloney) Young.  

     After graduating from Linesville High School in 1958, Myrna started her career as a secretary at Linesville High School that lasted for 53 years.

     She was a member of the Penn Line Church of Christ in Pierpont, Ohio and was a Sunday school teacher for over 40 years.   Myrna enjoyed crocheting, reading her books, making ceramics, attending church, and spending time with her family. 

     Myrna will be remembered as a loving aunt.  She loved and adored her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  She will be remembered for her courage and strength during her illness, her willingness to continue life during her battle with cancer, never wanting to be a burden to her family. 

      Myrna is survived a sister, Sandra Morrison of Ashtabula; nieces, Nicole (Robert) Long of Ashtabula and Julie (David, preceded) Randolph of Kingsville; nephews, David (Amy) Young of Pierpont and the late Thomas Young and his wife, Cathleen, of Linesville, many great-nieces and great -nephews, and a countless number of friends and family.

     She was preceded in death by her father and mother, M. Alex and Arlene Young, a brother, Thomas and two nephews, Raymond and Thomas. 

     Funeral services will be held at Sunday, March 17 at 2 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 US HWY 6, Linesville, PA  16424 with Pastor Ron Welker officiating.

     The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m. before the service.
