Kathy Jean (Williams) Royal

Kathy Jean Royal, 66, of Adamsville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by her family on Friday, July 14, 2017, at Magee Women’s hospital in Pittsburgh after a lengthy illness. 

Born April 17, 1951, in Sharon, she was the daughter of Harry and Blanche Keeley Williams.  She married Robert Royal on August 2, 1969, at the First Presbyterian Church in Greenville.

She was a 1969 graduate of Reynolds High School.  She was employed at Jamestown Pharmacy for 25 years and retired in 2011.

Kathy was a member of the Fallowfield United Methodist Church in Atlantic.  She was also a member of the Atlantic Friends and Flowers Club.     

She enjoyed swimming, antiquing, and traveling.  Recently, she had traveled on cruises to Hawaii, Alaska, and the Eastern Caribbean with her husband and friends.  Kathy also loved spending time in her flower gardens.  She enjoyed playing cards and going to card club with her girlfriends. 

She cherished spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.  Kathy will be greatly missed by all that knew her. 

Survivors include her loving husband of 47 years, Robert Royal of Adamsville; a son, Kevin Royal and his wife, Rebecca, of Linesville; a daughter, Kimberly Ochs and her husband, Stephen, of Middlefield, Ohio; three grandchildren, Kaitlyn Royal, Andrew Royal and Hadley Ochs; her mother-in-law, Virginia Royal; a sister, Darlene Weisberg and her husband, Harry, of Salisbury, North Carolina; two brothers, Rich Williams and his wife, Jean, of Fredonia and Gary Williams and his wife, Carol, of Jamestown; her sister-in-law and her brother-in-law, Jocelyn and Ken Beatty of West Middlesex; and many nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.

          A funeral service will be held at noon on Tuesday at the Fallowfield United Methodist Church, 3993 Leach Rd., Atlantic with Pastor Larry Corner and Pastor Gerald Laird co-officiating. Calling hours will be held at the church from 10 a.m. to noon before the service.

           Burial will be at Rocky Glen Cemetery in Adamsville.
