     Jerald H. Simon, 71, of Cochranton, formerly of Conneaut Lake, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at Mid Pinellas Care Center in Pinellas Park, Florida. 

     Born September 27, 1946, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Bernard and Marilyn Bond Simon.  He married Deanna MarLett on May 6, 1984 in Meadville.

     He served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1966 until his honorable discharge in 1968.

     He was a Pittsburgh native but had lived in Crawford County for 35 years and was known for his home improvement business.  During the winter months, he and his wife, Deanna lived in Largo, Florida.  

     Jerry was a proud family man and loved spending time with his family.  He was also an avid fisherman.  Jerry will be greatly missed by all that knew him. 

     Survivors include his loving wife of 33 years, Deanna Simon; his children, Barbara Demarco and her husband, Scott, Todd Simon and his wife, Jamie, Leslie Ahl and her husband, Matt, Adam Simon and his wife, Margherita, Michelle Ott and her husband, David, Tami May and her husband, Geoffrey, and Gary Gates; grandchildren, Brieyana Navoney and her husband, Jonathan, Chaz Ott and his wife, Arielle, Owen May, Sarah and Emily Demarco, Mason and Sydney Ahl, and Sebastian and Carmelina Simon; two great grandchildren, Cameron and Kaya Navoney; three sisters, Renee Boyle, Wendy Comstock and Heidi Durmis; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. 

     A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date. 

     Interment will be in Greendale Cemetery in Meadville.    

     The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society www.cancer.org. 

     Local arrangements are under the direction of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U. S. Highway 6, Linesville.
