Edna J. (Kennedy) Smith

     Edna J. Smith, 83, of Linesville, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018, at Rolling Fields in Conneautville. 

     Born February 8, 1935, in Smock, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Charles and Florence Long Kennedy.  She married Robert R. Smith Sr. in May of 1982.  He preceded her in death on March 7, 2007. 

     She attended Glassport High School.   Edna was self-employed and had also worked for various businesses in the community.  She retired from the Meadville Medical Center after 18 years in housekeeping. 

     Edna was a member of the Linesville Presbyterian Church and also the Diamond Chapter 120 Order of the Eastern Star formerly in Linesville.

     She loved cooking for her family and friends. She enjoyed sewing, visiting with neighbors and loved children and animals.

     Survivors include six siblings, Walter Kennedy and his wife, Elaine, of Linesville, Russell Kennedy and his wife, LaVerne, of Youngstown, Ohio, Samuel Kennedy and his wife, Sharry, of Grand Forks, North Dakota, Nancy Smith of Monongahela, Alice Tachoir and her husband, Dave, of West Mifflin and Rose Wilson of Conneaut Lake; and many nieces and nephews. 

     She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Christina Brocco and Hazel Dawison; and seven brothers, Robert, Charles, Paul, Joseph, Alvin, Thomas and Ralph. 

     Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.     

     Burial will be in Linesville Cemetery.

     Arrangements are under the direction of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U. S. Highway 6, Linesville.
