     Earl W. Featsent Jr., 76, of  Linesville, passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, June 11, 2017, at UPMC Hamot in Erie, after a brief illness. 

     Born December 6, 1940, in Youngstown, Ohio, he was the son of Earl W. Sr. and Virginia Glock Featsent.  He married Shirley Truax on June 30, 1990 in Harmonsburg.

     He was a graduate of Boardman High School.  He then served our country in the United States Army.  

     Earl was a retired truck driver and for the past 11 years was involved in missionary service in the Dominican Republic and Brazil.

     He was a member of the Greenville First Baptist Church.  Earl enjoyed woodworking, camping and playing cards on the internet.  Most of all he loved to make people laugh. 

     Survivors include his loving wife of 26 years, Shirley Featsent; four children, Tammy Hayden and her husband, Dave, of Saegertown, Robert Truax and his wife, Keisha, of Middletown, Maryland, Earlene Featsent Miller of Cleveland, Ohio and Gabriel Featsent of the Dominican Republic; nine grandchildren, Dawn Thomas and her husband, Michael, Samuel Fuller Jr. and his wife, Autumn, Sharon Fuller, Bradyn, Ahmani, Aubri, Kaleb, Karsen, and Madilyn; two great-grandchildren, Alexia and Michael; and a nephew, Richard Featsent and his wife, Christine, of Struthers, Ohio.   

     He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Earl William Featsent III; and a sister, Janice Featsent.     

     The family will receive friends on Friday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U. S. Highway 6, Linesville.

     A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor David Cox of the Greenville First Baptist Church officiating.  Full military honors will follow the service. 

     Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home.
