Donald Delapaz Obituary

          Donald Thomas (Ding) Delapaz, 57, of Conneautville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at UPMC Hamot in Erie. 

          Born July 23, 1960, in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of Raymond and Naomi (Wilkinson) Delapaz.

          He was a graduate of Linesville High School in 1978. 

          Don worked in quality control in the tool and die industry.  For many years he worked at Harmony Forge in Harmonsburg and recently for Excalibur in Conneaut Lake. 

          He was extremely artistic and loved doing arts and crafts.  He enjoyed painting and wood burning art.  Don loved sports and especially rooted for all the Chicago Sports teams.  He enjoyed NASCAR and going to races.  In his younger years, Don played softball and golf.  He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.    

          Survivors include his loving companion of 30 years, Sue Zirkle of Conneautville; a sister, Leslie Blair of Conneaut Lake; two brothers, Raymond Delapaz of Harmonsburg and James Delapaz and his wife, Christine, of Meadville; his nieces and nephews, Jason, Danielle, Sara, Julie, Alicia, Taylor, Jason, Justin, Jerrod and Kelsey. 

         He was preceded in death by his parents.     

         Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at ROYAL-COLEMAN FUNERAL HOME 6028 U.S. HIGHWAY 6, Linesville.

         A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Father Chris Hamlett of St. Philip Roman Catholic Church in Linesville officiating.
